Personal Development Plan (PDP)
Personal development plans (PDP) can be very helpful for higher education students to assess where they currently are, where they want to be, and how best to get there. They have also been found to be somewhat motivating in both academic and professional settings as they clearly outline ways in which a person can improve (Beausaert et al., 2011).

There are numerous skills required to be a successful Veterinary Physiotherapist along with specific elements needed to succeed and complete a Level 7 course as a postgraduate student. The SWOT analysis below evaluates where I feel I am at now and what issues I may face whilst studying. A SWOT analysis is a strategic planning tool used to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats an organisation or person faces. They are useful for a person to be able to see if there are any obvious gaps that they need to address in order to survive in their field or profession (Gurel and Tat, 2017).
